TUSCUMBIA — Colbert County Sheriff Frank Williamson got a ca FLORENCE — A local man charged with purchasing “high-grade” marijuana over the internet will serve three years in prison. Lauderdale County Circuit Judge Gil Self sentenced Dennis Roy Mullins Jr., 29, of Florence, to 10 years, split with three years in prison for trafficking marijuana. After serving his sentence, Mullins will be on state probation for 60 months and is required to pay a fine of $25,000. The sentencing came during a recent hearing in Lauderdale Circuit Court. Mullins was arrested in August 2017 by members of the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force. At the time of his arrest, Mullins was charged with trafficking marijuana, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
